Characteristics and advantages

Self aligning ball bearings have two rows of spherical rolling elements, with a shared spherical raceway on the outer ring and two deep groove continuous uninterrupted raceways on the inner ring. They can be open or sealed. This type of bearing allows for significant angular displacement of the shaft relative to the bearing seat, such as angular displacement caused by shaft deflection.

 

Can adapt to static and dynamic misalignment

Like spherical roller bearings or CARB bearings, this type of bearing also has self centering capability.

Excellent high-speed performance

Compared to any other type of rolling bearing, self-aligning ball bearings generate the lowest friction and lower temperature rise even at high speeds.

Minimum maintenance requirements

Due to low heat generation, bearings have lower temperatures, which extends their service life and maintenance intervals.

Low Friction

The clearance between the rolling element and the outer ring can reduce friction and frictional heat.

Excellent light load performance

Self aligning ball bearings have lower minimum load requirements.

Low noise

For example, self-aligning ball bearings can reduce the noise and vibration levels of fans.
